| P16 and Ki67 - Protein Expression (CINtec PLUS) - The CiNtec PLUS kit is an immunocytochemical test for the simultaneous qualitative determination of Pp16 protein and Ki-67 index in cytological specimens collected from the vaginal portion of the cervix. Antigen detection uses clone E6H4 of the primary mouse monoclonal antibody against human p16 protein and clone 274-11 AC3 of the primary rabbit monoclonal antibody against human Ki-67 protein. Color reactions involve the conversion of the DAB chromogen using horseradish peroxidase and the conversion of the FastRed chromogen using alkaline phosphatase into colored reaction products at the sites of individual antigens. | HPV mRNA (Human papillomavirus) PCR. Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is a significant factor in the development of cervical cancer. Most of these infections are transient and are eliminated within a few months by the body's natural immune mechanisms. However, some infections become chronic and contribute to the development of cervical cancer. The E6 and E7 proteins of oncogenic HPV types participate in the carcinogenesis process by disrupting the cell cycle. | PALB2 Molecular Biology - Analysis of PALB2 Gene Mutations Specifically Designed for the Polish Population. PALB2 is the third gene, alongside BRCA1 and BRCA2, associated with a familial risk of breast cancer among Polish families. The test covers a fragment of the PALB2 exon 4 gene sequence, including the founding mutation c.509_510delGĄ, p.R170Ifs*14, characteristic of the Polish population. The test is intended for patients whose families have an increased incidence of breast cancer, particularly: - onset at a young age, before the age of 50; - bilateral breast cancer; - male breast cancer.
