Videofiberoscopy is an examination performed using a flexible endoscope, which allows for a thorough examination of the cavities of the nose, nasopharynx, middle and lower pharynx and larynx. We perform videofiberoscopy both in children and adults.
The test is a safe diagnostic method that does not require deep anesthesia, while the image of the examined organs is visible on a monitor on an ongoing basis.

VIDEOFIBEROSCOPY is used in particular:

  • in assessing the size of the third tonsil in children
  • in the examination of the nasopharynx and larynx when cancer is suspected, for the examination of patients with the feeling of a foreign body or obstruction in the throat and swallowing disorders
  • in the diagnosis of nasal patency disorders due to polyps, allergic rhinitis, non-allergic rhinitis and rhinosinusitis, in the differentiation of the causes of hearing loss caused by swelling of the auditory tubes, in the diagnosis of voice emission disorders with hoarseness, avoice and laryngitis
