Resurfacing

Resurfacing (laser peeling) is a precise method of removing the top layer of the skin. It is an excellent form of fighting acne scars, visible wrinkles, discolorations, furrows as well as flabby skin. It becomes visibly tense, refreshed and regains its lost glow. Laser face resurfacing is an excellent alternative to Botox and face lifting.

How does FOTONA® Er-YAG laser peeling work?

During one pulse, the laser produces from several dozen to several hundred micro-damages, which, thanks to the fractionation technique, are surrounded by healthy skin, not subjected to the laser beam. The method causes the skin to regenerate very quickly, the skin is rebuilt, which during the repair processes produces new collagen and elastin. The tissue thickens, which makes the skin firmer and more elastic.

The strength of the innovative Er-YAG FOTONA® Spectro SP laser fractional treatment lies in the use of a long light wave of 2940 nm for minimally ablative and fast treatments that immediately remove even the smallest microelements of damaged tissue. In the traditional solution, after the treatment, thousands of micro-fragments of tissue remain in the damaged skin, which, because they are trapped in the skin, cause unnecessary overheating of the tissues, and pain and discomfort for the patient. The erbium-yag head in the innovative FOTONA® Spectro SP device immediately removes the hot remains of damaged tissues, which reduces pain and shortens convalescence.

  • Firming, thickening, making the skin more elastic - lifting effect
  • Reduction of discoloration
  • Elimination or reduction of acne scars
  • Narrowing of pores and normalization of sebaceous glands

The first effects of laser peeling (resurfacing) are visible a week after the procedure, when the exfoliation phase is over. The complexion will become radiant with an even tone and better texture. For 3-6 months after the treatment, the process of regeneration of collagen and elastin fibers will last. And that's how long it will take for full regeneration, which will result in better skin tension, shallowing of wrinkles and reduction of scars.

    Important before the procedure

When planning a fractional laser peeling, take into account that from 1 to a few days after the treatment, the skin will be red and it is not worth covering it with make-up, so as not to weaken the epidermis reconstruction process. After laser peeling, swelling may also appear, which disappears after 1-2 days. The next few days, the skin will peel off, and full recovery in the maximum version may take up to a week.
After laser peeling, creams with glycolic acid, retinol or alcohol-based creams should not be used in the indicated area.
For 14 days after the Fotona® laser peeling, we do not use hot baths and saunas, and during the convalescence period (7 days) we do not swim in the pool.
For 4 weeks after the treatment, we avoid the sun and at least for this period (and preferably to protect against photoaging all the time) we protect the skin with a UV 50 SPF filter
