dentistry

Conservative dentistry is a branch of dentistry that deals with the prevention and treatment of caries.

In a situation where we are dealing with an early phase of caries, procedures are used to remineralize the enamel, i.e. to prevent further development of the disease.
On the other hand, the reconstruction of teeth damaged as a result of caries should be not only aesthetic, but above all durable, which is why the materials used should be of the highest quality.

Materials we use:

1. Composite fillings - so-called light-curing fillings are materials that we use every day for the direct reconstruction of tooth tissues. Thanks to the wide range of colors, such a filling becomes practically invisible.

2. Glass ionomers - they are used primarily as a temporary material, fillings for deciduous teeth and cervical cavities or a base for a prosthetic tooth crown.

3. Inlays and onlays - these are cosmetic fillings that are particularly recommended in the case of large cavities. They are made in a prosthetic laboratory on the basis of impressions taken. They are most often made of porcelain, but can also be made of gold alloys and composite materials.

Bearing in mind the rule that it is better to prevent diseases than to treat them, we should attend regular check-ups to check the condition of our teeth and perform prophylactic treatments, thanks to which we can effectively prevent the occurrence of the disease.
